1. Call to Order at 4:00 pm
2. Roll Call: Stallman, Swan, Waltonsmith; City Liaison Borel, City Liaison Burkhalter
Waltonsmith absent
3. Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the
agenda for this meeting was properly posted on July 10, 2019. So posted
4. Accept Agenda Items and Order: No additional items may be added pursuant to
Government Code Section 54954.2. No changes
5. Approval of Minutes. Minutes for April 16, 2019 approved
6. Oral and Written Communication:
Any member of the public may address the Committee about any matter not on the agenda
for this meeting for up to three minutes. Committee Members may not comment on the
matter but may choose to place the topic on a future agenda.
Bobby Glouer, resident, attended to learn more about the Blue Hills School Safety Crossing.
7. Old Business
• Blue Hills (School) Safety Railroad Crossing update – pursuing grant funding in the
fall
• Prospect Road Improvements update - microsurfacing underway, striping to follow.
Landscaping finishing up.
• Anza Trail Certification update – meeting planned to determine location for signs.
• Traffic Safety Projects Updates – new refuge lane at Saratoga-Sunnyvale and
Paramount Drive. Caltrans encroachment permit received to install bike sharrows at
Big Basin Way.
8. Staff Report
• Pending trails update – major work completed on two trails: stairs installed up steep
hill from Farr Ranch Rd on Parker Ranch trail and major trail erosion repaired on
Mount Eden Trail near Deer Trail Ct and Garrod Stables.
• Announcements
Parks and Recreation Department/Commission changes
9. New Business
Upcoming Projects –
• Arts Commission proposed installation of “artsy” bike racks at TBD locations
around City
• Saratoga to the Sea Trail – trail alignment presented, design progress updates.
