Subject: Re: Proposed clock
I hope that in the decision for placement of the clock serious thought will be taken.
The section of road on entering the village has a great number of distractions.
Fire station to the left , village signs , benches, games tables, statues, memorial arch ahead, gas station
to the right.
Overhead we have traffic lights with a number of possible light configurations.
Turn right lanes, turn left lanes, straight ahead or merge lanes.
Not to forget those all important ( take your life in your hands ) pedestrian crossings.
All crossings much used by students of our local schools.
All of the above at one very important “entrance “ to the village.
Please consider carefully when agreeing to & deciding on placement of this “clock”
and the eyes that will be raised to view & admire the passing of time, distracted from the flow of
vehicles & pedestrians below.
Regards, Denise Dickson
