A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
TERMINATING THE DESIGNATION OF 19050 CAMINO BARCO FROM THE
HISTORIC RESOURCE INVENTORY
WHEREAS, the Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) was established by the City
Council in 1982 to assist with and encourage the preservation of Saratoga’s heritage resources;
and
WHEREAS, one of the HPC’s primary duties, as established in Saratoga Municipal Code
(City Code) Section 13.10.040(a), is to update the Heritage Resource Inventory (HRI); and
WHEREAS, on March 10, 1999, the Heritage Preservation Commission determined that
the property at 19050 Camino Barco met designation criterion (c) and (e) of City Code Section
13.15.010, and adopted a Resolution to add the property to the HRI (Resolution HP-99-01); and
WHEREAS, on June 27, 2025, the property owner of 19050 Camino Barco requested the
termination of their property from the HRI, pursuant to City Code Section 13-15.100 (Termination
of designation); and
WHEREAS, on July 8, 2025, the HPC reviewed the property owner’s request and
recommended removal of the property from the HRI, finding the property does not meet the criteria
for designation (Resolution HP-25-002); and
WHEREAS, on November 5, 2025, the City Council of the City of Saratoga held a duly
noticed public meeting on the subject matter, and considered the staff report and evidence presented by
City staff, the applicant, and other interested parties and determined that the designation is no longer
consistent with the purposes and objectives of City Code Chapter 13 and the property no longer
meets any of the designation criteria set forth in City Code Section 13-15.010.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga does
hereby terminate the designation of 19050 Camino Barco from the Historic Resource Inventory.

The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga
City Council held on the 5th day of November 2025 by the following vote:
