A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA TO
ACCEPT FUNDING FROM THE SILICON VALLEY CLEAN ENERGY (SVCE) NON-
COMPETITIVE GRANT FOR THE CORPORATION YARD ELECTRIFICATION
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the California’s Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) Regulation mandates that
public agency fleets transition to zero-emission vehicles by 2035, and
WHEREAS, City Staff have worked with a consultant to conduct a comprehensive needs
assessment of the Corporation Yard, and
WHEREAS, an electrification timeline has been developed to achieve full compliance
with the ACF regulation mandate, and
WHEREAS, the City Staff applied for, and was awarded, a non-competitive grant from
SVCE in the amount of $184,537, and
WHEREAS, the City will utilize this funding for the Corporation Yard Electrification
Project, and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2025/26 Operating and Capital
Improvement Program budget is necessary to appropriate the SVCE Grant to the Corporation Yard
Electrification CIP Project as follows;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga
hereby authorizes an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2025/26 Operating and Capital Improvement
Budget to appropriate project revenue/expenditure for the Corporation Yard Electrification CIP
Project in the amount of $184,537 from the SVCE Non-Competitive Grant.

The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga
City Council held on the 4th day of February 2026 by the following vote:
