SARATOGA PLANNING COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING
Chair Kausar called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

REPORT ON APPEAL RIGHTS
1. PUBLIC HEARINGS
1.1 The City periodically adopts several cleanup amendments to the City Code to clarify ambiguities,
comply with state laws, and to conform to new best practices that have changed since the Code was
adopted. The table on the following pages is a summary of topics being addressed with the annual update
to the Zoning Regulations of the City Code. The actual amendments to the text of the City Code are
included in the resolution.
Recommended Action:
Adopt Resolution No. 25-016 recommending the City Council adopt an ordinance which includes
amendments to Chapter 15 (Zoning Regulations) of the Saratoga City Code.

GERMERAAD/HASSAN MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 25-016 RECOMMENDING
THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15 (ZONING) OF
THE SARATOGA CITY CODE. MOTION PASSED. AYES: BROWNLEY, GERMERAAD,
KAUSAR, LI, HASSAN, SRIDHARAN, ZHENG. NOES: NONE. ABSENT: NONE. ABSTAIN: NONE.
3. DIRECTOR ITEMS:
Director Swanson invited the Commission to listen to or attend the presentation regarding the Wildlife
Urban Interface at the September 17th City Council meeting. He also mentioned that new Building Code
will be going to the City Council later in October.
4. COMMISSION ITEMS:
Commissioner Germeraad asked that staff add project noticing on a future agenda.
