VICE CHAIRPERSON: Steven Shepherd TREASURER: Michael Byrne SECRETARY: Elli Rezaii I. Call to Order 7:04 pm II. Roll Call: Arunkumar, Byrne, El-Diwany, Fariba, Gupta, Langstaff, Maltiel,
Pramanik, Rateau, Rezaii, Seifert, Sclavos, Shepherd, Tseng. All Present except Arunkumar III. Report on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, the agenda
for this meeting was properly posted on October 1, 2006. IV. Accept Agenda Items and Order: No additional items may be added pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2. V. Approval
of September Training Minutes. VI. Oral and Written Communication Any member of the public may address the Commission about any matter not on the agenda for this meeting for up to three
minutes. Commissioners may not comment on the matter but may choose to place the topic on a future? agenda . VII. Old Business A. 2006 Training Recap a. Highlights Activities included
a ropes course, games such as architect, making banana boats and dinner, and bonding with the commission b. Suggestions for next year Order food from outside (Pramanik/Seifert) B. Street
Dance Overview (Byrne) 1. Glow in the Dark Necklace Made total of $1,300, in which $150 from clean-up tickets. Suggestions: a. Bigger sign b. Sell glow necklaces in snack area and main
booth (Fariba); c. Not have street light above necklace booth (Langstaff); d. Put snack booth and necklace booth next to each other (Pramanik); e. Have snack shack in the middle of the
street (Rateau); f. Table instead of booth (Maltiel); g. Booth better because easier to keep track of necklaces and more professional (Shepherd and Byrne) 2. Teen Scene Made total of
$1,000; snack shack not a success; Suggestions: a. Need to make teen scene area more flashy (Seifert/Fariba); b. Not next to Starbucks (Gupta); more signs; c. Schedule more bands (Pramanik);
bring stage closer in (El-Diwany);
d. Concentrated area of teens help with alcohol prevention (Langstaff); e. Get DJ to draw crowd in (Rateau) C. Time Capsule (Elli) 1. Update committee organized: a. Chair: Rezaii, Photos:

at Council Meeting to update them on latest events We get kudos, attend the meetings and inform them of what’s going on in the commission when we have substance; El-Diwany willing to
speak E. Senior Ball Hosting an event especially for the seniors, gives them a good impression of youth! Commission includes: Seifert, Gupta, Maltiel, Cheng, and Rezaii 1. Example of

a. Poker Tournament Illegal, so no. 1. Santa Clara Teen Center doing a Casino Night in December
b. Video Game Tournament 1. Prize needed, team vs. team?, 2. LAN PARTY, xbox brought in by players, pizza and sodas paid with admission price of possibly $5-$10 per person, or maybe
