ACTION MINUTES
I. Public Hearing
A. Americans with Disab;l;t;ps Ar•*-_Santa Clar County
Lib
Mary Ann Wallace, Cupertino Community Librarian,
conducted a public hearing regarding the Americans
Disability Act and the steps being taken by the
Santa Clara County Library system to ensure ADA
compliance.

The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m.
II. Roll Call
Commissioners present: Brenner, Martini, Newby, Peacock,
Watkins
Commissioners absent: Krezek, Towse
III. Retiort on Posting of Commisc;nn Agenda
Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda for this
meeting was properly posted on June 19, 1992.
IV. Annroval of Minute of Mav 27 1992
The minutes of the May 27, 1992, meeting were approved as
submitted.
V. New Business

Commissioner Bill Watkins updated the Commission on
the expansion proposal by Ripley Associates, the
architectural firm recommended by the Library
Expansion Committee for the expansion project.
The Commission reviewed the memo to the City
Council prepared by the Library Expansion Committee
Chair recommending the retainment of Ripley
Associates and design development based on a 18,000
sf expansion of the Library.

A. Continuation of April 22 Presentation on Financial
Aspects of Library Operations--County Librarian
Susan Fuller
County Librarian Susan Fuller concluded her
presentation regarding the financial aspects of
library operations. The presentation focused on
costs specific to operating the Saratoga Community
Library.
