Paul Nelson noted that he was the general Mager for west galley allection

been a few glitches and they are diligently tryzng tc solve them. Mr, Nelson stated that
they are trying their best to be as respansave as possible to complaint. Mr. ~elsa~n
pointed cut that they have added several mare phor~c lir~cs ~ exter~dcd the customer
service ours.
George ~unyd announced ~~~ annual fit. Patrick's Da,y dinner, Mr, Bunyard stated
that the dinner would be held from ~;~~ p,~n. - ;~0 p~m~
Citi~cn ~a~ discussed the Highway 9 Safety ~rn.praven~ent Project.
Marilyn Marchetti announced that this year's American Cancer Society r~.elay for Life
was on June ~~~~.4, ~~~? at redwood 1Vliddle School.
Cary l~atsual~a noted that he was the superintendent for the Saratoga-Los Gatos High
school District. r. Matsuaka stated that he was present tonight to discuss the recent
pool controversy at Saratoga high School. Mr. Matsuoka discussed the City's monetary
contribution to the gaol construction and the accumulated credit from the District to the
Saratoga recreation Depar~nent. Mr. Matsuoka painted out the City ~s not t~nntng the
aquatic program, DACA is the sponsor.
dick altansn~ith noted the he is a participant in the adult swim program at Saratoga
High School. Mr. waltonsmith pointed out that w~hcn the District had financial concerns
regarding the pool the City and private c1tl~ens donated money to the project. Mr.
waltonsm.ith stated that the program has been cut back -four sessions dawn to two
sessions per week. Mr. waltor~rriith stated that in January X04?the Board sent a letter
to DACA that the noon time Swim session was cut. Mr. wltonsrnith asked the City
council conl~act the District's hoard and ask thorn to reinstate the noon tirrie swim
program at Saratoga High ch.ool,
Mary ~u~d requested that the City CQUnci1 help relritate the naori time swim pragrarn at
Saratoga High school.
Lisa Fischer-Colbrie noted that she has been swirriming at Saratoga High school at noon
for the past six years Ms. Fischer-Colbire stated that the ~astrict's decision was made
with no discussion. M.s. Fischer-Colbrie requested that the Council help begin a dialogue
and r~op~n tl]151~S11e.
Star Davis noted that she has been in the noon program for threo gears. . Da~ri noted
that if security 1s aI] issue, she ~ s VL~111ing to get fingerprinted.

that the program has b~cn cut.
Chanta~ Clifford noted that the program through DACA is very affordable compared to
private clubs. Ms. Clifford pointed out that everyone who is in the program knows one
another and everyone is willing to get hngerpninted~

Rabbi Daniel Pressman noted that he represented the Saratoga Ministerial A~saciation.
Rabi Pressman Hated that prior to the meeting the pity ouneil held a point meeting with
the Ministerial Association. Rabbi Pressmann noted that the Association has been rrleeting
for the past l l years. Rabbi Pressina~. nat~d that the Association tries to build
community and discuss common pro~~erns and concerns

controversial issue in Saratega and agrees that the issue should not be taken
lightly, Mr. choppe requested that the pity Council reverse their dccisian and
atlow tha Foundation to r~mave the redwood trees at the Historic Park and lave
the oak tree as is.
