III. 9~ Business
A. Public Hearing results - skateboard ramp not at Congress Springs
or Corporation Yard, sent back to Parks ~ Recreation Commission
to look into new sites. Another public hearing will be on Mari^h
or April.
B. Warner Hutton Update - will open April 1. Old City Hall will be
renovated. Warner-Hutton will be used as break room temporarily
for city staff

A. Celebrate Saratoga Sept. 19-26, 1992 - Chose date Sept, 19 for
Music Fest `92
B. Hakone Festival May 9, 1992
Tucker: in past Youth Commission supported this year will have
own booth
C. Merchants: they have new forms for job referrals, went to
Community Center for more jobs will plan classes by merchants
for job application tips
D. Music: would like outside dance April-May or summer with live
music at Warner Hutton House, laterns
E. Discuss Yosemite trip $117 volunteer chaperones, try to get
DARE to fund, look into lowering price to $99
F. Collected boxers

- entertainment books - have to mail books and all monies
turned in
- at Hakone Festival - fish kites need help preparing $3 or $4
- Saratoga 49er basketball game
- Youth Commission booth - hand out flyers with donations

H. Teen Dance - April - Rain Dance
- will need sign ups to help
I. Teen Recreation
- lack-in March 21 will have pizza, indoor hockey, organized
games, win lase & draw game Shaw and make your awn video,
Friday 28, 5:30 p.m.
J. Warner Huttan House
- April 1, need help pricing - ask Rotary for donatiar-s, meeting
tomorrow
- fees: $60 membership far year
- wish list put on next brochure
- hours 8-2 for seniors, 3-5 middle Schaal, 5-11 high Schaal
- Turner explained middle Schaal has most need far a center after
school
- will have counseling - West Valley Teen counseling center
12 - 9 to 11 wee4kends bath middle and high
- Neetu said Norm Mineta would speak far any Youth Commission
activities

- during the summer Warner Huttan House everyday planned
activities, every 1 or 2 Weeks local trips
- mountain biking, skate boarding trips, drop-in roller blade
hockey, March 12 3:30 to 5 every Thursday - $2 person
- March 13, middle school, $2 a day
- Fab Friday - activities, arts & crafts, cooking
- Youth Commission on staff interviews
L. Saratoga day at the Giants
- does Youth Commission want to handle - voted NO (1 yes)
M. Positive Interaction - Community Action Group
- parents and politicians trying to get alternative activities
- next meeting March 2, 7:30 p.m. want Y.C. to go
