CommiasionlCouncil meeting all present except Gandrud, Newby. There was a free-ranging discussion on library issues. Landscaping of the grounds surrounding the building is being considered for the Capital Improvements Budget. B. Recommended aisa that the Council write to the Governor and ask him to fully fund the Public Library Foundation and the Literacy Programs portions of the State Budget. C. Fcemodeling to take approxiatately six mont.ha. S$CCLS Advisory Council has been named co-winner by CLSB of an award far excellence in serving the library community. S$C'CLS is cooperating with the County Transportation Agency in planning for placards on the County busses in conjunction with National Library Week. $. Thomas: The new computer is installed and operating. Is much faster. She is pleased with how well the pro3ect is going. Thomas announced that. she will be retiring in June. C.
