Cammisaionera Present: Chair Kanemura; Dyer, Gandrud, Mahler, Harrison, Newby, Woad. Library Staff present.: Susan Fuller, County Librarian; Laia Thomas, Saratoga Librarian. Kanem~ura read a copy of a letter received by Uyer from Fuller indicating that the donation of IBM shelving is being forwarded to the County Library System. Dyer was thanked far his efforts. 11I. NEW BUSINESS: A. $rawn Act Changes: Primarily agF,ly to City Courscil but all Commissions will conform; Agenda to be posted ?2 hours before meetings and reported in these minutes; Proposed additions to agenda from public or any other source twritten}ara17 will be agendi2ed far future meeting after adequate public notice. g. Conmiasian Priorities far 198? to be sent to Council: 1.Continued open 6 frequent communication between Council end Library Commission; 2.Cantinued funding of Sunday hours; 3.Funding of longer hours during week; ~. Increased budget far Library materials; 5. Adequately maintained landscaping around the building; 6. Completion of Feasibility Study far Library Alternatives. C. County General Fund deficit will not significantly cut into library funds. Will probably De able to maintain leve3 of services but will not be able to progress as much as would have liked. Fines and Fees Schedules revised i.e. na more grace period; lostldamage book technical praceasing fee raised from ~S t.o ~-5; charge of 514 added to delinquent account when sent to County collection agency; meeting room fee broadened to "any appropriate meeting"-will prababiy end up being moat meetings.
