A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA TO
AMEND THE BUDGET FOR FY2005/2006 TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO PAY FOR
PAVING WORK ASSOCIATED WITH A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF MONTE SERENO.
WHEREAS, a contract exists with G. Bortolotto, Inc. to perform paving work in
Saratoga for $580,577.39, and
WHEREAS, The City of Monte Sereno wishes to enter into a Cooperative Agreement
with the City of Saratoga for paving work not to exceed $83,300, and
WHEREAS, The City of Monte Sereno will reimburse the City of Saratoga for all
construction related expenses up to $83,300 plus a 15% markup, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the change order authority with G. Bortolotto,
Inc. to accommodate the Cooperative Agreement work,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING IS RESOLVED, by the Council of the
City of Saratoga:
1. The change order authority for the project be increased by $83,000.
2. The sum of $83,000 is hereby authorized to be paid to G. Bortolotto, Inc. for the Monte
Sereno work.
3. The City Manager or the Administrative Services Director are hereby authorized to make
adjustments to the budget for FY2005/06 needed to execute this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the above and foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 6`h day of April, 2005
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Nick Streit, Aileen Kao, Ann Waltonsmith,
Vice Mayor Norman Kline, Mayor Kathleen M. King
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
