Home My WebLink AboutCity Council Resolution 49 RESOLUTION NO. 49 RESOLUTION RELATIVE TOURBAN PLANNING ASSISTANCE WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga desires to provide for a plannin9 study contributin9 to an over-all program for future community develop- ment, the preservation of community values, the prevention of conditions tending to cause urban blight, and the promotion of the General health, safety, and welfare of its citizensl and, WHEREAS,the State Department of Finance, under authority of Chapter 33, Statutes 1956, First Extraordinary Session may provide planning assistance for such. a program and receive financial assistance from the Urban Renewal Administration, as authorized by Section 701 of the Housing Act of 195h (Public Laws s 83rd ConGress); and therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the. City of SaratoGa hereby requests the State Department of Finance to provide planning assistance under authorityof Chapter 33, Statutes 1956, First Extraordinary Sessions with such financial assistance as may be provided by the Urban Renewal Administration, under authority of Section 701 of the Houstn9 Act of 1954 (Public Laws 860, 83rd ConGress). That such planning assistance is more particularly described in a project description that is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution as if fully set forth herein. THAT, the City Council of the City of Saratoga, subject to approval of such planning assistance by the State and Federal authorities, hereby authorizes payment to the State Department of Finance of a sum not to exceed $~_~250.00 and, THAT, the total estimated cost of the City of Saratogaws project as planned is THAT, the Mayor of the City of SaratoGa be, and he hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the city all necessary contracts and agreements to implement and carry out the purposes specified F in this resolution.
