HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 429 RESOLUTION NO. 429 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTE HELD APRIL ,9_=J_9_68 The City Council ef the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as follows: WHEREAS, a General Municipal election was held in the City of Saratoga on Tuesday, the 9th day of April, 1968 and was conducted in form and manner as required by the laws of the State of California governing the election of General Law Cities, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND DECLARED as follows: That in Precinct "1" being consolidation of Precincts 4712, 4724, 4718, 4696, and 4729; Precinct "2" being consolidation of Precincts 4710, 4686, and 4702; Precinct "3" being consolidation of Precincts 4677 and 4678; Precinct "4" being consolidation of Precincts 4679, 4682, and 4684; Precinct "5" being consolidation of Precincts 4690 and 4711; Precinct "6" being consolidation of Precincts 4692, 4693, and 4694; Precinct "7" being consolidation of Precincts 4689, 4697, 4714~ 4727, and 4723; Precinct "8" being consolidation of Precincts 4687, 4725, and 4726; Precinct "9" being consolidation of Precincts 4713 and 4717; Precinct "10" being consolidation of Precincts 469l, 4688, and 4706, as established for holding State and County elections: The whole number of persons voted for was.2; the whole number of votes cast was .471~ ........ , including 55 absentee ballots; that the names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted, and the number of votes received by each of said persons in each of said precincts, together with the absentee votes, together with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire city are as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A". RESOLVED, therefore that at the said general municipal election held in the City ef Saratoga, April 9, 1968, the following persons were elected to the following offices, respectively: CHARLES H. ROBBINS JEROME A. SMITH each elected a member of the City Council for the full term of four years. RESOLVED FURTHER: That the City Clerk shall enter upon the record of the Council the results of said General Municipal election and shall deliver to each person elected a certificate of election duly signed and authenticated by him and he shall impose the constitutional oath and have them subscribe thereou, whereupon they shall be inducted to the respective offices to which they have been elected.
