RESOLUTION CREATING UNDERGROUND UTILITY COORDINATING
COMMITTEE
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1: There is hereby established and created an Underground Utility
Coordinating Committee of the City of Saratoga, which shall be
known as THE SARATOGA UTILITY COORDINATING COMMITTEE which shall consist of a
representative from each of the following: P.G. & E (Gas Division), P.G. & E.
(Electric Division), P.T. & T., Sanitation District No. 4, Cupertino Sanitary
District, San Jose Water Works, California Cable Television, and the Director
of Public Works.
Section 2: The purpose of the Underground Utility Coordinating Committee
is to provide for coordination of a municipal and utility con-
struction projects and to minimize conflict among the facilities of each agency
represented. The Committee will:
(a) Exchange information concerning advance planning of utility construction
and public improvements.
(b) Coordinate utility placements.
(c) Establish priorities among utilities.
(d) Create a cooperative approach to construction project coordination.
Section 3: The Underground Utility Coordinating Committee shall meet
Quarterly, every second Wednesday and at such other times
as the Committee desires, and establish its own rules of order, conduct of
business and procedure. Roberts' Rules of Order shall be followed on all
matters pertaining to parliamentary procedure, unless otherwise established
by the Committee.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
passed by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on
the 16th day of April, 1969, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Tyler, Robbins, Smith, Dwyer, Sanders
