RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PREVAILING WAGE SCALE
PUBLIC WORKS
(Labor Code Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.3)
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Saratoga, State of Cali-
fornia, that:
WHEREAS this Council has ascertained the prevailing rate of per diem
wages in the locality known as the City of Saratoga for all public works
projects as the same are defined in Section 1720 of the labor Code of the
State of California, for each craft, classification, and type of workman
needed for performance o£ contracts for such public works, and is desirous
of setting forth such determination, and
WHEREAS, this Council has duly considered said scale and finds the same
to be correct in all particulars,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS:
(1) That the wage scale as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby determined, established
and adopted as the prevailing rate of per=diem wages within the city
limits of the City of Saratoga for all public work contracts of this
city hereafter bid or let to contract, until such time as this Council
ascertains and determines that there has been any change in any prevailing
rate of per diem wages in said locality.
(27~ No less than said prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be paid
for any work proposed to be performed under any contracts for public works
entered into by this city, and the Director of Public Works of th~ city is
hereby directed to set forth said prevailing rate of per diem w~ges in any
and all contracts for public works hereafter made or let by this city.
(3) The City Clerk of this city is hereby directed to send a copy of
the wage scale to the Direcltor of Industrial Relations of the State of
California pursuant to Section 1773.3 of the Labor Code of this State.
(4) This Council declares its intention that, as to any particular call
for bids or contracts hereafter let, should it ascertain that the prevailing
rate of per diem wages has changed from that established and determined by
this resolution, it will pass and adopt another resolution setting forth such
change or changes, and in the absence of any such other or further resolution.
of this Council, the prevailing rate of per diem wages as set forth on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference shall be
deemed to continue, be current, and in. full force and effect.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 21st day of Octoberj 1970,
by the following vote;
