A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Saratoga in memory
of Admiral FREDERICK G. CRISP, acknowledging the outstanding service he rendered
the City of Saratoga and the citizens of Saratoga through his long and valuable
service on the Saratoga Planning Cornmission.
WHEREAS, ADMIRAL FREDERICK G. CRISP was appointed to the Saratoga Planning
Commission upon its initial formation in 1957 and served continuously on the Commission
until the end of his life on December 9, 1970; and
WHEREAS, ADMIRAL FREDERICK G. CRISP led the Planning Cormnission as Chairman
during 1957, its first year of operation; and
WHEREAS, as charter member and in~t~tlchairman ADMIRAL FREDEKICK G. CRISP
was instrumental in the development and execution of planning policies vital to the
preservation of the Saratoga environment; and
WHEREAS, the loss of ADMIRAL FREDERICK G. CRISP leaves a void on the
Planning Commission which will be difficult, if not impossible to fill; and
WHEREAS, the lcss of ADMIRAL FREBERICK G. CRISP is a loss of a good friend
of the citizens, the Council, the Planning Commission, and the City staff of Saratoga;
NgW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the City Council does hereby officially
recognize the outstanding service rendered to present and future Saratogans by
ADMIRAL FREDBRICK G. CRISP through his service on the Saratoga Planning Commission;
That the City Council will continue to work toward the goals of Saratoga
expressed in the General Plan which were espoused so ably by ADMIRAL FREDERICK G. CRISP
during his long term on the Planning Commission.
That the City Council does truly mourn the loss from the City family of
ADMIRAL FREDERICK G. CRISP, a true friend of Saratoga.
Passed and adopted this 16 day of December 1970 at a regular meeting of
the City Council by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Robbins, Dwyer, Sanders, Smith, Bridges
