RESOLUTION N0. 626
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO FORM THE
NORTHWEST SARATOGA PARK MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saratoga, Santa
Clara County, California, that
1. In its opinion the public interest and convenience require,
and that it is the intention of said Council to order the formation
of a maintenance district in a portion of said City, pursuant to
Chapter 26, Part 3, Division ? of the Streets and Highways Code,
the Improvement Act of 1911, to be designated "Northwest Saratoga
Park Maintenance District", by which name it shall hereafter be
referred to in all subsequent proceedings, including proceedings
for the levy and collection of taxes.
2. Said Maintenance District, and the boundaries thereof, hens-
fired and to be assessed for the maintenance and operation of the im-
provements hereinafter referred 'to, are situate in the City of
Saratoga, County of Santa Clara, State of California, and are more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by reference
incorporated herein.
3. It is ordered that the expenses of maintaining and operating
all decorative walls, walkways, crosswalks, steps, safety zones,
platforms, seats, statuary, fountains, recreation areas, parks and
parkways, signs, poles, posts, wires, pipes, conduits, lamps, and
other suitable and necessary appliances for the purposes of lighting
streets, places or public ways, water mains and sprinkler systems,
and ornamental planting including lawns, shrubs and trees, now ex-
isting or hereafter to be constructed in or for said Maintenance
District, and of benefit to said Maintenance!District but not of
benefi~ to the City of Saratoga, as a whole, including the cost of
necessary repairs, replacements, water, fuel, power, gas, electric
current, care, supervision, and any and all other items necessary for
the proper maintenance and operation thereof, shall be assessed wholly
upon the real property within said Maintenance District above de-
scribed, which District said Council hereby determines will be the
District benefited by the maintenance and operation of said improve-
ments, and that the amounts so assessed are to be levied and col-
lected in the same manner and by the same officers as taxes for City
purposes are levied and collected.
4. The Saratoga News, a newspaper published and circulated in
said City, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which this Reso-
lution of Intention shall be published, and the City Clerkof said
City is hereby directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be
published by two insertions in the manner and form provided by law,
the first publication being at least ten (lO) days before the date
of hearing.
5- The City Clerk shall cause to be conspicuously posted along
all the open streets and avenues within said proposed Maintenance
District, and in front of all property liable to be assessed at not
more than 300 feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all
on each street so posted in said Maintenance District, notices of
tlhe passage of this Resolution of Intention in the manner and form
required by the Improvement Act of 1911, and amendments thereto,
said posting to be completed at least ten (10) days before the date
of hearing.
6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause to be mailed
notice of adoption of th~ Resolution, postage prepaid, to all
persons owning real property proposed to be included within said
MaiDtenance District, to pay any part of the cost of the maintenance
and operation of the improvements hereinabove designated, whose
names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll,
or as known to the Clerk. If property assessed by the State under

Section 14 of Article XIII of the Constitution is proposed to be
assessed, such notice shall be mailed to every owner of such prop-
erty at the address thereof shown on the last board roll trans-
mitted to the County Auditor. Said mailing should be completed at
least fifteen (15) days before the date of hearing.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wednesday, the ~t~_ day of Sootember ,
1972, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the regular meeting place
of said Council, Council Chambers, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga,
California, are hereby fixed as the time and place when and where
any and all persons having any objections to the formation of said
Northwest Saratoga Park Maintenance District, or to the extent of
said Maintenance District, or both, may appear before said Council
and show cause why the formation of said proposed Naintenance District
should not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution of Inten-
tion.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct
copy of Resolution duly passed and adopted by the City Council of
t~ City of Saratoga, California, at a meeting thereof held on the

NORTHWEST SARATOGA
PARK MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
BEGINNING at the most southwesterly corner of that certain Tract
No. 2967 Kirkmont of Saratoga, recorded on July 30, 1962 in Book 150
of Maps at Page 29, Santa Clara County Records.
THENCE, leaving said point of beginning running north 0° 28' east
212.50 feet,
THENCE, south 88° 00' west 12.50 feet,
THENCE, running north 0° 28' east 484.04 feet to a point on the
southerly right-of-way line of Kirkmont Drive as shown on that certain
map of Tract 2967. Said point also being on a curve, lying concave to
the south and having a radius of 470 feet.
THENCE, along said curve, to the left for an arc length of 81.51
feet through a central angle of 9~ 56' 10" to a point of tangency with
a reverse cur~eto the right and having a radius of 530 feet.
THENCE along said curve to the right~ for an arc length of 91.91
feet through a central angle of 9° 56' 10' to a point of tangency.
THENCE, south 88° 05' 15" west 248.80 feet to a tangent curve to
