HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 631 RESOLUTION NO. 631 RESOLUTION LIMITING USE OF DARIEN WAY TO PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE TRAFFIC The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby resolve as follows: sect~Qn~l: Pursuant to Chapter 2 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, hearing was held on this Council's pro osal to vacate and abandon the hereinafter described public street, and the City Council hereby finds that said street should not be vacated and abandoned, but rather should have its use limited and restricted to pedestrian and bicycle traffic only, and to prohibit vehicular traffic thereon as hereinafter set forth. Section 2: That certain street known as "Darien y , ~ Wa" located between Cox Avenue and Brockton Lane in the City of Saratoga, State of California, as said street is shown and delineated on that certain map of Tract No. 2876 recorded on November 20, 1962 in Book 154 of Maps at Page 40, Santa Clara County Official Records, be and the same is hereby limited and restricted to pedestrian and bicycle traffic only, and the same is hereby closed to all vehicular traffic. The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to cause barricades, subtanti~l~y in accord with the plot attached hereto, marked Exhibit A , and incorporated herein by reference, to be estab- lished on said street in order to help carry out the purposes of this resolution. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting thereof held on the ~p.~h day of September , 1972, by the following vote: CITY AYES:Councilmen Smith, Owyer, ~idges, Diridon and Kra NOES: None ABSENT None ATTEST
