HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 678 RESOLUTION NO. 678 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SARATOGA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE A~REEMENT FOR STATE ADMINISTRATION OF LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX WHEREAS the County of Santa Clara has adopted a Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax Ordinance in conformity with the requirements and limitations contained in Part 1.5 of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California commonly known as the Bradley-Burns Act, and being Ordinance No. NS-13, and WHEREAS pursuant thereto the City of Saratoga on November 15, 1956, passed and adopted Ordinance No. 12, as amended, of said city adopting the Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax of .91 of 1% for the City of Saratoga in conformity with said Bradley-Burns Act, and is desirous of contracting with the State Board of Equalization for the administration and collection of said local sales and use taxes, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Saratoga, a Municipal corporation, by and through its Mayor, shall execute five duplicate original Agreements with the State Board of Equalization of the State of California for the administration and cetlection of said local sales and use taxes in accord with the terms, convertants and conditions contained in that certain Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and the Mayor of this City is hereby authorized and directed to so execute the same on behalf of this City. The above Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and passed by the City of SaratOga at its meeting held on October 3, 1973 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Bridges, Dwyer, Diridon and Smith NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Kraus MAYOR CITY CLERK
