A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 68
EXPANDING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE CITY LIBRARY
COMMISSION AND .DEFINING THE TERMS OF OFFICE
WHEREAS, in light of added responsibilities and increasing demands upon
the Saratoga City Library Commission, it is deemed necessary to expand the member-
ship of the Commission from five to seven members; and
WHEREAS, in order to clarify the terms of office of all seven Commissioners
and provide for a continuity on the Commission, the terms should be precisely
set forth and members be appointed for overlapping terms;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Saratoga
as follows:
Section 1: The Library Commission created by Section 1 of Resolution No. 68
shall consist of seven (7) members, to be appointed by the City Council.
Section 2: The terms of all seven Commissioners shall commence February 1,
1975. Four (4) Commissioners shall be appointed for terms of four years,
and three (3) Conlnissioners for terms of two (2) years. Thereafter, successors
to the three Commissioners appointed for two years shall be appointed for
terms of four years.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
passed by the City Council of the City of SaratOga at a regular meeting held on
the 5th__ day of Februa~, 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Bridges, Brigh c~m, Kraus, Corr & Matteeni
NOES: No.rle
ABSENT: Norle
