RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
DESIGNATING LOCAL SOLID WASTE MANAGE.~4ENT ENFORCMENT AGENCIES
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill No. 2439, the Z'berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste
Control Act of 1976, requires the deisgnation of a local solid waste
management enforcement agency or agencies for each local jurisdiciton;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saratoga considers the
following agencies best suited to provide enforcement services within
the City of Saratoga:
1. THE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT for all health related
matters.
2.THE CITY OF SARATOGA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES for
all non-health related matters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SARATOGA that solid waste management enforcement agencies for the
entire City of Saratoga are hereby designated as follows: The County
Health Department of the County of Santa Clara shall be the enforcement
agency for all health related matters and the City of Saratoga Depart-
ment of Community Services shall be the enforcement agency for all non-
health related matters;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to
submit a certified copy of this resolution to the Executive Officer of
the State of California State Solid Waste Management Board and to the
Santa Clara County Executive.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the
18th day of May, 1977, by the following vote:
