RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
REPEALING RESOLUTION 1011 CONCERNING THE FINANCE ADVISORY CCMvlITTEE
WH]tREAS, the Finance Advisory Committee was established by the City Council on May
20, 1981, by Resolution 1011, and
WHEREAS, over the span of time of its existence the Committee's functions have been
redefined at various times to enable the Committee to carry out its activities in
the manner most useful to the City, and
WHEREAS, the Chair of the Committee has suggested various changes to Resolution
1011, and the City Council wishes to implement those changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Resolution 1011 is hereby repealed. The
statement of purpose of the Finance Advisory Committee and the membership of the
Committee shall be as follows:
1. The Committee shall review the ~ity's annual audits and annual budget
preparations and present recommendations or comments as appropriate to the
Manager and to the City Council.
2. The Committee shall undertake and perform such other specific tasks as may be
assigned from time to time by the City Council.
3. The Committee shall meet as required to discuss matters of concern.
4. The Committee is to function in harmony and cooperation with the City Manager
to the extent possible. It is not intended that the Committee function in an
oversight capacity.
5. The Committee shall consist of five members who shall serve three-year
overlapping terms of office. Members shall be selected on the basis of their
knowledge, experience and qualifications in financial management.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of
the Saratoga City Council held on the 20th day of November, 1985, by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Callc~, Fanelli, Hlava, Moyles and Mayor Clevenger
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
