RES6IirflON OF THE CITY O011NCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
REPEALING RESOLUTION 1011.2 CONCERNI~ THE FINANCE ADVISORY CfDMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Finance Advisory Committee was established by the City Council on
May 20, 1981, by Resolution 1011, which was later amended by Resolutions 1011.1
and 101 ]. 2, and
WHEREAS, over the span of time of its existence the Committee's functions have
been redefined at various times to enable the Committee to carry out its
activities in the manner most useful to the City, and
WHERFAS, the City Council and the Committee have agreed on various changes in
the Co~ttee's role, and the Council wishes to implement those changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Resolution 1011.2 is hereby repealed. The
statement of purpose of the Finance Advisory Committee and the membership of
the Conmittee shall be as follows:
1. The Committee shall undertake and perform specific tasks in the areas of
financial management, financial planning, facilities needs, resources
development, and such other related tasks as may be assigned from time to
time by the City Council.
2. The Committee shall meet as required to discuss matters of concern.
3. The Committee is to function in harmony and cooperation with the City
Manager to the extent possible. It is not intended that the Committee
function in an oversight capacity.
4. The Committee shall consist of five members who shall serve three-year
overlapping terms of office. Members shall be selected on the basis of
their knowledge, experience and qualifications in financial management.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Saratoga City Council held on the 20th day of May, 1987, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Anderson, Clevenger, Foyles, Peterson, and Mayor Hlava
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
