A RESOLtJrIOO OF 'IHE SARA'Ia:;A CITY COUNCIL COMMENDING
GERALD S. MARSHALL FOR OOl'STANDING SERVICE 'ID THE
CITY OF SARA'ICGA
WHEREAS, Gerald S. .Marshall has served the City of Saratoga between the
pericx:1 of January 1971 and January 1981, as Planning Commissioner and rrember
of the 1974 General Plan Review Carrrnittee; and,
WHEREAS, he served as Vice-Chairman to the Planning Corcrnission in 1973,
Chairman of the Planning Corrmission in 1974 and 1975, and ChaìrrrBIl of the
Sul:::division Coomittee in 1977; and,
WHEREAS, during his ten years as Planning Commissioner, the unique
character for which Saratoga is noted was established by his attention to de-
tails and aoove all, his concern for the City; and,
WHEREAS, he willingly gave of his tirœ to assist and advise applicants, .;
commissioners, Council and staff in all matters relating to the historical
aspects of land use planning within the City of Saratoga; and,
WHEREAS, Stan has always supported the principles of honesty in dealing
with the residents, corrmissioners, developers and staff; and,
\1HEREAS, Stan has donated over 3,000 hours of his time over the last
ten years in rreetings, site visits to the City of Saratoga and its residents;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council and the Citizens
of Saratoga do hereby corrrænd Gerald S. Marshall for his unending dedication
and service to the City of Saratoga, and extends to him_ its appreciation and
best wishes for the future.
PASSED AND AOOPI'ED at a regular rceeting of the City Council the 4th day
of February, 1981, by the folla.ving vote of the rærribers thereof:
