RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SARATOGA REVERSING A DECISION
OF THE PLANNING'COMMISSION AND APPROV-
ING DESIGN REVIEW FOR A-841
WHEREAS, the applicant, Wilson Development, Inc., has
requested Design Review Approval to construct a two-story single
family dwelling; and
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1982 the Planning Commission held
a public hearing on applicant's request for Design Review Approval
and after said public hearing denied said request; and
WHEREAS, applicant has .appealed the ~lanning Commission's
decision to the City Council pursuant to Section 17.7 of the
Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, on December 15, 1982 the City Council held a
de novo public hearing and after the closing of said public hear-
ing reviewed and considered the applicant's request, staff reports,
minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of November 10, 1982,
and other evidence, both written and oral, presented to the Council
during said public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Saratoga
HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
1. The applicant's appeal from the Planning Commission is
granted and the decision of the Planning Commission is overruled.
2. Design Review for A-841 is hereby approved, per the
conditions of the Staff Report dated November 1, 1982, as amended
by the City Council on December 15, 1982.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga
held on the 5th day of January, 1983, by the following vote:

WHEREAS, it has ccee to the attention of this august body that one
C~EM ~ORD
has oa~-~le~ed a task so o~erous that nobody else would do it, all by his c~n
self (to wit, indexing every single blessed Council resolution to 1956), and
WHEREAS, this task was so enor~Dus that it can only be compared to Hercules
cleaning out the Augean stables (and he had a river to help him), and,
WHEREAS, it is obvious to anyone with half an eye that ccmpletion of this
task will allow staff members to find out things they never knew (but always
wanted to know) about the inner and outer workings of the City of Saratoga, and
WHEREAS, the index which Clem has completed, even in its infant and incomplete
state, has already proved its usefulness, and
WHEREAS, Clem, although he has worked almost every day with little vacation
time and lousy pay, has maintained a cheerful outlook and added to the beauty
of City Hall by bringing in flowers and also by keeping his hair neatly combed,
and
WHEREAS, it is our wish to express appreciation for the work of
WHEREAS, he host certain deserves our thanks,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the third Monday in April is hereby declared
as
CI.RM FORD DAY, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this day is to be observed by all employees of the
City of Saratoga with feasting, fireworks, fol-de-rol, and mostly by feelings of
being in fine fettle over the fact that Saratoga now has scmething that she
didn't have before which she desperately needed. It is also to be observed by
thinking up new tasks for Clem to do.
