HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2125WHEREAS, the Saratoga ~ducation Foundation is declicated to maintaining the
high quality of education in Saratoga, and
WHEREAS, since 1982 the Four~_~ation has raised over $65,000 to be channeled
into the elementary schools in Saratoga to augment existing prograns and
to start new ones, and
WHEREAS, the Foundation' s funds o~me frcm grants and private donations frcm
the citizenry, and the omnunity's attention should therefore be focused on
the needs of the schools, and
WHEREAS, the City Council feels that the work of the Saratoga Education
Foundation is very important and deserving of support.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that April 1 through April 7 is proclaimed
as
SARATOGA EDUCATION WEEK
and the ommunity is encouraged to participate in activities to highlight
Saratoga Education.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Saratoga City Oouncil held on the 15th day of February, 1984, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmenbets Callon, Clevenger, Fanelli, Mallory and Mayor Moyles
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
