OOM~qDING SARATOGA HIGH SCHOOL TAIL FlAG GIRLS, CHEERLFADERS, AND DRILL TEAM
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga is doubly fortunate in having both outstanding
athletes at the 1984 Olympic Games and a number of perfoEs in other fields,
and
WHEREAS, these performers have added greatly to the enjoyment of the spectacle
by the athletes and the general public', and
WHEREAS, these young people are to be recognized specifically for their
performance during the opening ceremonies for the Olympic soccer cunpetition
at Stanford University, and
WHEREAS, the performance was not only a spectacular and enjoyable occasion
for the audience, but" it also exemplified the teamwork and cooperation necessary
to almost any worthwhile achievement.
NC~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the young women of the Saratoga High
School
~V.T, FLAG GIRLS
DRILL TEAM
are commended and heartily thanked for their'hard work and their excellent
performance as representatives of their' school and of the City of Saratoga.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the nineteenth day of
September, 1984, by the follc~ing vote:
