HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 85-9.122 RESOLUTION NO. 85-9.122 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA IMPLEMENTING A REORGANIZATION PLAN AND AUTHORIZING PERMANENT POSITIONS IN CITY SERVICE WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 85-9.119, A Resolution Implementing a Reorganization Plan and Authorizing Permanent Positions in City Service, on June 16, 1999; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of said Resolution No. 85-9.119, the City Manager has recommended further changes to both the City's organization and Classification Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the recommendations of the City Manager and believes that implementing these further changes will be in the best interests of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as follows: Section 1: Rescission of Resolution No. 85-9.119: Resolution No. 85-9.119, adopted by the City Council on June 16, 1999, is rescinded in its entirety. Section 2: Addition/Elimination of Funding for City Positions: Funding for the following positions is increased, reduced or eliminated, effective July 1, 2000: ADDITION/DELETION POSITION FTE Addition Associate Planner 0.25 Deletion None 0.00 Section 3: Funding for City Positions: The permanent _positions listed below are hereby authorized effective July 1, 2000: ~~ f~ 1 POSITION FTE City Manager 1.0 City Clerk 1.0 Senior Administrative Analyst 0.75 Administrative Analyst 3.0 Office Specialist 1.0 City Manager's Office 6.75 Community Development Director 1.0 Associate Planner 1.0 Assistant Planner 2.0 Senior Building Inspector 1.0 Building Inspector 2.0 Plan Check Engineer 1.0 Community Services Officer 1.0 Office Specialist 2.0 Community Development Department 11.00 Public Works Director 1.0 Assistant/Associate Engineer 2.0 Street Maintenance Supervisor 1.0 Street Maintenance Worker 5.0 Park Maintenance Supervisor 1.0 Park Maintenance Specialist 1.0 Park Maintenance Worker 6.0 Office Specialist 2.0 Public Works Department 19.0 Administrative Services Director 1.0 Administrative Analyst 0.75 Accounting Supervisor 1.0 Technology Coordinator 1.0 Office Specialist 4.65 Administrative Services Department 8.4 Recreation Director 1.0 Recreation Supervisor 2.0 Facility Coordinator 0.6 Facility Maintenance Supervisor 1.0 Facility Maintenance Worker · 2.0 Office Specialist 1.75 Recreation Department 8.35 Total Positions 53.50 2 Section 4: Miscellaneous: The City Manager is authorized to take whatever other administrative actions are necessary or appropriate in order to effectuate this reorganization, consistent with this and other City Council resolutions relating to this reorganization. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 21 st day of June, 2000 by the following vote: AYES: Evan Baker, John Mehaffey, Nick Streit, Ann Waltonsmith Mayor Stan Bogosian NOES: None.
