HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2370· GitE af arataga :. m~gso~u~zoa No. 2370 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Willys Peck generously permitted the Heritage Preservation Commission of the City of Saratoga to use their residence, known as the Higginbotham House, at 14275 Saratoga Avenue in Saratoga as one of the Heritage Homes for the 1986 Saratoga Heritage Home Tour, and WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Willys Peck have preserved and maintained this California Craftsman house built in 1920 in its near original condition, and WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Willys Peck have continued to restore the residence and property to meet the original appearance of this residence to preserve it as a heritage for people of the City of Saratoga, and WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Willys Peck have assisted with the preservation of the history of Saratoga not only through their home, but through their interest in the Saratoga Historical Foundation and Museum and through their teaching of the young people of Saratoga, and WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Willys Peck did accept the challenge of having many interested persons of the community, who had an interest in the City of Saratoga and its historic homes, tour their residence on April 20, 1986, on behalf of the Heritage Preservation Commission, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Saratoga City Council extends its sincere appreciation, and hereby congratulates MR. AND MRS. WILLYS PECK " as a 1986 Heritage Home Tour participant, for their special interest and service to their community. The Council, on behalf of the Heritage Preservation Commission and all of our citizens, commends them and looks forward to their association with the City of Saratoga for many more years. This resolution was passed and adopted by the Saratoga City Council at a regular meeting held on the __day of , 1986, by unanimous vote. ~AYOR ATTEST:
