Commission since August of 1983, and acted as one of the first
Chairs and Vice-Chairs, and
WH~I~AS, her active and enthusiastic participation has been of
great value to the Commission in many ways, particularly in
developing the Historic Resources Inventory from its inception to
its adoption, and
Wa~Paa~her willingness to research diligently in order to obtain
information on buildings of historic and architectural
significance in Saratoga has resulted in her knowledge of almost
every house in Saratoga over fifty years old, as well as little
tidbits of historical information that make Saratoga's history
come to life, and
WHERFaa, she also played a leading role in the Commission's
highly successful historic house tours, and
WHERFa~, she has been unfailingly helpful to other commissioners,
eager to volunteer, outgoing, dedicated, persevering, gregarious
and cheerful about her work, and
WHERE,8, these fine personal qualities have helped keep the
Commission on track in focusing its energies in a positive
direction.
NOW, TH~R!~FOR~, BE ITR~BOLV~D, that
BARBAPJ&VOESTBR
is hereby commended and thanked for her many years of hard work
on the Heritage Preservation Commission, and
BR IT FURTBI~R RESOLVED THAT we wish her well in the future and
hope she will continue to make herself available as a resource to
the Heritage Preservation Commission.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 3rd day of May,
1989, by the following vote:
