A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
MODIFYING THE RATES FOR REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICE
IN THE CITY OF SARATOGA
WHEREAS, the City Council has contracted with Green Valley
Disposal to collect recyclable materials from all single family
homes and complexes of up to four units; and
WHEREAS, the cost of providing recycling collection services is
equal to $0.82 ( eight-two cents ) per household per month; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a charge to be
added to the refuse collection bill is the most appropriate means
of funding the curbside recycling program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that $0.82 per household per month
will be added to the refuse collection bill for each household
served by the program for the term of the recycling agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this charge shall be effective in
February of 1990 at such time as the recycling services are made
available to at1 households served.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 18th day
of October, 1989, by the following vote:
