HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2643 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING JAN HARRIS WHEREAS, Jan Harris has served on the Planning Commission since January of 1984 and is now resigning because she is moving out of Saratoga, and WHEREAS, Jan actively participated in a number of important matters considered by the Commission during the past several years, particularly the development of the residential design guidelines handbook, and WHEREAS, Jan's special concern for the Village led her to be instrumental in preparing the Village Specific Plan and the Village Design Handbook, and WHEREAS, Jan's commitment to quality planning is widened by her participation in numerous special study committees and task forces, and WHEREAS, Jan has always advocated a strict adherence to the best principles of architectural design, and WHEREAS, it is apparent to all who work with her that Jan has the best interests of Saratoga at heart, and WHEREAS, Jan's contributions will be greatly missed by the Planning Commission, the City Council, and the staff. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that JAN HARRIS is hereby commended and thanked for her years of hard work on the Planning Commission, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT we wish her well in the future in her new home. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 18th day of April, 1990, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Mayor ATTEST: Deputy City Clerk
