RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
COMMENDING TOM TAPPAN
WHEREAS, Tom Tappan has served on the Planning Commission since
June of 1988, and
WHEREAS, Tom actively participated in a number of important
matters considered by the Commission during the past several
years, particularly the review of San Marcos Heights, the Noise
Element of the General Plan, the Air Quality Element, the
Residential Design Handbook, revisions to the Design Review
Ordinance, and numerous other accomplishments, and
WHEREAS, Tom's attention to land use principles led him to insure
that future development was compatible with Saratoga's
neighborhoods, and
WHEREAS, Tom's special concern for all residents resulted in
decisions that considered the needs of existing neighbors to
maintain a high quality of life, and
WHEREAS, it is apparent to all who work with him that Tom
has the best interests of Saratoga at heart, and
WHEREAS, Tom's contributions are numerous and are greatly
appreciated by the Planning Commission, the City Council, and the
staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
Tom Tappan
is hereby commended and thanked for his years of hard work on the
Planning Commission, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT we wish him well in the future.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 3rd day of July,
1991, by the following vote:
