HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 92-037 '.'_.'_.'_;;~.'_~I~~I~rnl~rni~rnl~rnl~rnl~.'_.'__,__,_ RESOLUTION NO. 92-037 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA AUTHORIZING USED OIL DEMONSTRATION GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga recognizes that it is in the public interest to implement a household hazardous waste element which is the intgrated waste management plan to address the illegal disposal of household hazardous waste to state land and water and the potential adverse environmental impacts from the improper management of household hazardous waste; and WHEREAS, funds have been established by Senate Bill 1200 (petris, 1990), and are available from the Used oil Collection Demonstration Grant Fund through the California Integrated Waste Management Board for grants to local governments with established or proposed used oil curbside collection projects to prevent the illegal disposal of household hazardous waste to solid waste landfills. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saratoga authorizes the City Manager to execute all necessary applications, contracts, and agreements and amendments hereto for the purpose of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the purposes specified in the application. The above and foregoing resolution was passed by the Saratoga City Council at a meeting held on the 3rd day of June, 1992, by the following vote.
