HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2309.1 RESOLUTION NO.2309.1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA REVISING THE ORDER OF BUSINESS AT REGULAR MEETINGS AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION 2309 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to improve its effectiveness in conducting the business of the Council and recognized the importance of a well-structured agenda in achieving this goal, and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that revising the order of business for its regular meetings will improve its effectiveness. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 2-10.030 of the Saratoga Municipal Code, the order of business for the City Council should be generally as follows: 1. Roll Call (7:30 PM unless a closed session is held prior to the rest of the meeting in which case the Roll Call shall be at such earlier time as to allow for the closed session to be conducted and the rest of the regular meeting to start at 7:30 PM) 2. Closed Session (if necessary) 3. Ceremonial Items 4. Communications from Commissions and the Public a. Oral (limited to 15 minutes) b. Written 5. Consent Items a. Items Previously Considered by the City Council at a prior meeting bo Other 6. Public Hearings (to start at 8:00 PM) 7. Old Business 8. New Business (Continuation of Item 4a if required) 9. Routine matters 10. Council Items 11.
