A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE AB 434 PROGRAM
TO JOINTLY DEVELOP A COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS FUELING STATION ON
CITY OWNED PROPERTY WITH THE WEST VALLEY/MISSION COMMUNITY
COLLEGE DISTRICT AND TO RECEIVE AND APPLY FUNDS FOR SAID PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga is a member of the South Bay Clean
Cities Coalition; and
WHEREAS, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD)
administers the AB 434 Clean Air Program designed to provide
funding for projects which promote clean air; and
WHEREAS, the West Valley/Mission Community College District
(District) has applied for and obtained AB 434 60% funds to develop
a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling facility; and
WHEREAS, the District and the City do jointly desire to cooperate
in the development of said CNG fueling facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE SARATOGA
THAT:
1. The City is authorized to join the District as a Co-Applicant on
the District's application to BAAQMD for AB 434 60% funds for the
purpose of jointly developing the CNG fueling facility.
2. The City Manager is authorized to execute any agreements on
behalf of the City which are necessary to receive AB 434 funds and
to develop the CNG fueling facility.
PASSED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Saratoga held on the 7th day of December, 1994, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Jacobs, Moran, Tucker, Wolfe and Mayor Burger
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
