HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 96-37 RESOLUTION NO. 96~ 87~ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF FEES The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as follows: SECTION 1: The fees set forth in Exhibits "A", "B" and "C" attached hereto and made a part hereof are hereby established pursuant to the Saratoga City Code and shall be paid to or collected by the City for each of the applications, permits, extensions, renewals, services or other matters enumerated therein. No application shall be deemed filed or complete until all required fees have been paid in full to the City. SECTION 2: Resolution Number 95-32 and all amendments thereto are hereby repealed, it being the intent of the City Council that the fee schedules adopted by this Resolution shall supersede all prior schedules pertaining to the same subject matter. SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective on the date of its adoption and shall be applicable to all fees and deposits which are payable to the City from and after the effective date hereof. The fees are based on estimated costs to the City to process the application. In addition to the payment of the fees established herein the applicant shall hold the City harmless from all costs and expenses including the attorney's fees, incurred by City or held to be the liability of City in connection with City's defense of its actions in any proceeding brought in any State or Federal court challenging the City's actions with respect to the applicant's project. Environmental review: Environmental assessment fee $ 225 Department of Fish and Game Negative Declaration Fee $ 1,365 Environmental impact report administrative fee Actual cost charged by consultants plus a 20% surcharge for staff analysis and a 22.8% surcharge for administrative overhead. Monitoring of mitigation measures As specified in project approval or agreement with developer. Geotechnical Review: Administrative fee Actual cost charged by the City Geotech- nical Consultant plus a $450 fee for engineering staff analysis plus a 25% surcharge for City's indirect costs. Deposit for Geotechnical Review $ 2,500 minimum, or a greater amount as determined by the Director of Public Works. Traffic studies, economic studies, and other special reports or study fees: Administrative fee Actual cost charged by consultants plus a 20% surcharge for staff analysis and a 25% surcharge for City's indirect costs.
