RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SARATOGA APPROVING GENERAL PLAN
BOUNDARY AMENDMENT
BINKLEY; 13570 PIERCE ROAD
WHEREAS, the applicant is requesting a General Plan Amendment in order to
realign a boundary between Residential-Hillside Conservation designation and a
Hillside-Very Low Density designation to be consistent with the realigned property
line for that portion of Assessor Parcel Numbers 503-14-044 (Parcel A) and 503-14-
022 (Parcel B) per Exhibit "A', attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed
amendment on March 27, 19'96; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the proposed
amendment on June 5 and June 19, 1996, after which the City Council determined
that this project is subject to the provisions of Measure G approved by the voters on
March 26. 1996, thereby requiting an affirmative vote of the electorate prior to
approval of this General Han Boundary Amendment; and
WHEREAS, on November 5, 1996, the voters approved a Measure (Measure
K) authorizing the requested General Plan Boundary Amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Saratoga that the General Plan Amendment to redassify a portion of Parcel A and
Parcel B per Exhibit "A' is hereby approved and the following findings are made:
· The City Council has determined that the General Plan Amendment is
consistent with the goals, policies and obiectives of the City's General
Plan and Area B Plan Guidelines; and
· The City Council has determined that the proposed General Plan
Amendment is consistent with the existing land use designations and
development patterns in the vicinity.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Saratoga held on the ........ i c~tsh day of Ma~ch ,1997 by the following vote:
