RESOLUTION CONSOLIDATING C'ERTAIN MATTERS HERETOFORE
GOVERNED BY ORDINANCE AND RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
OF SARATOGA, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC
REGULATION, WITH REGARD TO RESTRICTED PARKING,
TRAFFIC.SIGNALS, STOP INTERSECTIONS, ONE-WAY STREETS.,
AND SIMILAR SUBJECTS OF LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATION..
The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as
follows:

Section 1.1: No ... Park~nK
Based UpOn an engineering and traffic study,
the following designated streets and highways or portions
of the same are hereby declared to be congestedareas, and
the Council finding that prohibition of parking is necessary
to facilitate the proper movement of traffic, the parking of
motor vehicles is prohibited on the portions of the streets
and highways hereinafter described:

Section 1.2:. Limited Parking
Based upon an engineering and traffic
study, the following designated streets and highways or portions
of the same in the City of Saratoga are hereby declared to
be congested areas, and the following time limits for parking
of motor vehicles are hereby established for the following
portions of said streets and highways.

Section 2: STOP SIGNS AND SIGNALS
Section 2.1: The official traffic signal installed at
the intersection of Cox Avenue and
Saratoga Avenue, to control traffic at said intersection by
standard form green, yellow and red lights, shall remain
installed as an official traffic control signal of this City,
and shall be regulated by the Director of Public Works to
operate in conjunction with the normal traffic flow at said
intersection.
Section 2.2: The following highways of the City of
Saratoga and listed below in column (1),
are hereby designated through highways, and all vehicles
approaching the respective highways from the streets named

opposite thereto and listed in column ,-(2) shall stop before
entering or crossing the intersections with said through highways.
The provisions of this section shall become effective at such
time as stop signs are erected at the intersections at the
locations indicated in column (3).

Section 2.3: The following intersections ofhighways
in the City of Saratoga are hereby
designated as stop intersections:
Cox Avenue and Paseo Presada
All vehicles traveling on Cox Avenue shall stop before
entering or crossing the intersection thereof with Paseo'Presada,
and all vehicles traveling on Paseo Presada shall stop before
entering or crossing the intersection thereof with Cox Avenue.
The provisions of this section shallbecome effective at such
time as stop signs are erected in conformity herewith.
Section 3: ONE-WAY STREETS
"Sara r ' which runs in a
norDheasterly direction from its point of intersection with
the SaraLoga=Los GaLos Road, 200 feet more or, less to the
point of its intersection with Saratoga Avenue, is hereby
designated and established as a one-way street. Vehicles
traveling on said Saratoga Circle shall proceed in a north-
easterly direction only, and travel on said street in any other
direction other than above designated is prohibited. The
Director of Public Works is directed to maintain such traffic
control signs and devices on said street as may be required
to carry out the provisions of this section.
Section!i This resolution shall become effective
and operative at such time as Ordinance No.
38, the Ordinance of the City of Saratoga adopting "The Code
of the City of Saratoga, California" becomes in full force
and effect. For purpose of reference, this resolution super-
sedes and consolidates the matters contained in Ordinances
No. 4A-3, ~A-5-1, ~A-9, 4A-15, and parts of Ordinances No.
4A-13, 4A-14, ~A-16, ~A-20, 4A-22 and ~A-23, and Article~ 1,
Chapter 2 of Title 10 of the Santa Clara County Ordinance
Code formerly incorporated by reference by Ordinance No. 4A,
and re-enacts the regulations contained in resolutions 138 and~
168! of the City of Saratoga. The foregoing ordinances and
parts of ordinances are to be repealed by the adoption of
the Saratoga City Code, and resolutions 138 and 18 are super-
seded and repealed by this resolution.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga ~ a
regular meeting held on the _lit_day of ..April , 1964,
