RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AUTOMATIC TRAFFIC
SIGNAL DEVICES AT INTERSECTION OF QUITO ROAD
AND POLLARD ROAD; PROHIBITING STOPPING ON POR-
TIONS OF QUITO AND POLLARD ROADS; AND REPEALING
PORTIONS OF MV-1 (AdOpted 4/1/64)
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby resolve as
follows:
Section I: Official automatic ~raffic signals shall be installed
at the intersection of Quito Road and Pollard Road to
control traffic by standard form green "Go", yellow "Caution", and red
"Sto"
p lights and a. rrows together with left-turn lanes and signals,
which shall be regulated by the Director of Public Works to operate in
conjunction with the normal traffic for said intersection.
This section shall become effective at such time as the traffic signal
is installed.
Section II: Based upon an engineering traffic study, the following
designated portions of streets and/or highways in the
City of Saratoga are hereby declared to be congested areas, and to facil-
itate the proper movement of traffic, the stopping of motor vehicles is
prohibited on the portions of the streets and highways hereinafter described:
Name of Street Des~cription
Quito Road Along the westerly side from the centerline
of Marshall Lane to the centerline of Sobey
Road (N).
Quito Road Along the easterly side from the centerline
of Pollard Road to the centerline of Marshall
Lane.
Pollard Road Along the northerly and southerly sides from
the centerline of Quito Road to the City
limit line 230 ft.± easterly.
This section shall become effective at such time as the proper
signs and/or markings are install d.
Section III: In order to implement regulations as set forth in
Section I, the conflicting portion of Section 2.3 of
Resolution MV-1 (adopted 4/1/64) and any other resolution in conflict
with this resolution, are hereby rescinded. The remainder of said
resolutions not in conflict with this resolution, shall remain in full
force and effect.
Thisse~ion shall become ~ffective at such time as the traffic
signal described in Section I is installed.
The above and f~regoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the
1st day of September, 1976, by the following vote:
