ltA RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING BICYCLE LANES
UPON, AND PROHIBITING ON, CERTAIN POR-
TIONS OF MILLER AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
SARATOGA
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1' Based upon an engineering and traffic study,
and pursuant to Section 9-71.15 of the Sara-
toga City Code, the following designslted portions of
streets in the City of Saratoga are hereby declared to
be bicycle lanes, and the following limits for parking
of motor vehicles are hereby established for said bicycle
lanes:

5.5 foot wide strip located on the ANYTIME
easterly side of Miller Avenue between
Eric Drive and Cox Avenue
One-way bicycle lane consisting of a NO PARKING
11.5 foot wide strip located on the ANYTIME
westerly side of Miller Avenue between
Eric Drive and Ascension Drive
One-way combination bicycle lane/park- 24-HOUR
ing lane consisting of an 11.5 foot CURBSIDE
wide strip located on the westerly side PARKING
of Miller Avenue between Ascension Drive
and Somerville Drive
One-way combination bicycle lane/park- 24-HOUR
ing lane consisting of an 11.5 foot wide CURBSIDE
strip located on the westerly side of PARKING
Miller Avenue between the easterly junc-
ture of Melinda Circle and Cox Avenue
Two-way bicycle lane cons~;~ing of two NO PARKING
contiguous 5.75 foot strips located on ANYTIME
the westerly side of Miller Avenue be-
tween Somerville Drive and the easterly
juncture of Melinda Circle~
Section 2: In order to impose the parking restrictions
on Miller Avenue as set forth in Section 1,
those portions of Resolution MV-55 (adopted February 12, 1973)
and any other resolution in conflict with t his resolution
are hereby recinded for the hereinafter described period dur-
ing which this resolution remains in effect. The remainder
of said resolutions not in conflict with this resolution shall
remain in full force and effect.
Section 3: The hereinabove set forth designation of
bicycle lanes and the limitations of motor
vehicle parking provisions applicable thereto, and the with-
in resolution, shall remain in force and effect for a period
of six (6) months from date of enactment hereof, and not there-
after unt~ss and until additionally extended by further reso-
lution of this Council.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
By the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting
held on the 13th day of F~bruary, 1973, by the following vote:
