PLACE~' 'Firema~'~'Hall, Oak"'Street, Saratoga, California TYPE: Regular Meeting I ROUTINE ORGANIZATION A. ROLL CALL Present: Anderson, Crisp, Higgins, Pasetta Absent: Bennett, Webster B. MINUTES Commissioner Higgins moved that the reading of the minutes be dispensed and that they be accepted as distributed. Carried unanimously. II WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS 1. SDR 37 - Harry F. Evans The Secretary read a letter from Mr. Evans dated December 10, 1957 in which he requested aid in allocating a piece of property to his son. He wished to know where SDR #37 Evans,H.F. the roads would be in event of future subdividing. After a short discussion Mr. Evans was informed that the Planning Commission could not officially advise him as to future roads etc. unless a definite subdivision plan had been submitted. 2, SDR 54 - W. G. Kruse The Secretary read a resume of the handling of this case by Mr. Milsted and his report dated 12/23/57. SDR #54 Ermse,W.G. Commissioner Anderson moved that the action taken by the Commission on 12/9/57 in connection with this building site approval be rescinded. Carried unanimously. Chairman Crisp moved that the following conditions be applied: 1. Provide $150.00 cash contribution to Flood Control 2. Pike Road should be an accepted approved road and a continuous road to Pierce Road before any further divisions are approved. 3. Provide 18' minimum width road in front of affected property in accordance with minimum standards of County Engineer. 4. Set buildings back 60' from centerline of road. Carried unanimously III PUBLIC HEARING A. REZONING None B. USE PERMITS AND VA!~_IANCES 1. V-34 San Jose Water Works Commissioner Pasetta, after a short discussion, moved that the following conditions be stipulated in connection with the granting of a use permit: 1. The foundation of the tank~ be at ground level The location of the tank be as shown in the plot plan. V~34 3. There be one tank approximately 67! in diameter and S.J.W.W. 20' in height. 4. The elevation of the base of the tank be approxi- mately 560' above sea level. 5. The tank and the surrounding area be landscaped and beautified subject to the approval of the Planning Commission. Carried unanimously. At this point the public hearings portion of the meeting was adjourned. IV REPORTS OF COMMITTEES A. ARCHITECTUP~ AND SITE CONTROL 1. V-36 - George Payme After examination by the Architectural and Site Control V-36 Committee Commissioner Higgins moved that the plans as Payne,G. submitted by Mr. Payne received in the City Offices on 12/18/57 be approved. Carried unanimously. -2- B. SUBDIVISION AND BUILDING SITE 1. Report on Non-profit Recreational Areas The Secretary read a letter from the Planning Commission directed to the City Council dated December 23, 1957- Non-profit Recreation Commissioner Higgins moved that the submission of the Areas letter to the Council be approved as read. Carried unanimously. Chairman Crisp called to the attention of the Commission that a public hearing will be held on January 13, 1958 Subdivision in connection with the proposed subdivision ordinance and Ordinance suggested that said ordinance be studied by the Commissioners and directed the Secretary and the press present to aid in the publicizing of this' ordinance so that any and all interested engineers, subdividers, etc. would be present at the hearing. Commissioner Pasetta moved for adjournment at 8:30 P.M. Carried unanimously. 7 Present - 2Press -3-
