T~PE~ Regular meeting. I ROUTINE ORGANiZATiON A. Roll Call Present: Anderson, Bennett, Crisp, Pasetta, Tiffany, Webster Absent: Htggins B. Minute~ CommissiOner Andersom moved for approval of the minutes as dis- trlbuted. Commissioner Pasetta seconded. Carried unanimously. II PUBLIC HEARINGS A. Use Permits and Variances None B. Ordinances 1. Minimum Lot Size Ordinance Min. Lot Chairman Bennett stated that he would read the lot size Size Ord- ordinance in sections, asking for comments at the end of each section. The following people spoke from the floor: Mr. Loughrldge, Santa Clara County Contractors and Home- builders Association; Mr- George Day, a Saratoga subdivider; Admiral Connelly, Beaumont Avenuei Mr- Dan Hurtlinger, Blue Hills Real Estate; Mr. Bob Crane, Southkay Construction Company; Mr. Chuck Walter, Wandeme~e Company; Mr. Wentworth, Saratoga Civic LeagUe; Mr. ~yrne, Big Basin Way; M~. A. F. Dunlap, Good Government Group of Saratoga. " The public hearing was closed at 10:10 P.M. Chairman Bennett stated that the oratna~ce would be discussed by the Commissioners at the next regular meeting. III COMMITTEE REPORTS A. S~bdivtsion Committee 1. SD-76 - Argonaut #5 SD 76 Tl~e Secretary stated that an extension had been granted by Argonaut #5 the subdivider to August 23, therefore action must he taken at this meeting. Commissioner Pasetta moved that the tenta- tive map be disapproved without prejudice- Commissioner Webster seconded. Carried unanimously. 2. ~DR-?8 - Paul Frechette SDR-78 T~e Secretary read the conditions set by the County Subdivi- P.Frechette ston'Committee meeting on August 6, 1958. Commissioner Pasetta moved approval of the tentative map subject to all the conditions except that Condition #3 is to read 20t in- stead of 251. Commissioner Crisp seconded. Carried unanimously. B. Architectural and Site Control Committee 1. V-98 - Kenneally V-98 ~he Secretary read the application to move a store on Big Kenneally Basin Way to the rear of the lot on which it is presently locatea, this lot being the site where a new bank is to be constructed shortly. The Secretary read a letter from Bridges Construction Co., asking for permission to construct a temporary field office in the two parking spaces immediately in front of this lot on Big Basin Way- Commissioner Pasetta moved for granting of the architectU~al ~hd site control permit Subject to the following conditions: 1) The permit is granted for an eight monthst period at which time the building must be demolished. 2) If the building is vaca'ted before April 11, 1958 it must be demolished at the time it is vacated. 3) Applicant is to furnish the City with a thousand dollar band. Commissioner Tiffany seconded. Carried unanimously. Commissioner Webster moved that the matter of the field office on Big'Basin Way be returned to Bridges Construction Company as the PlannYng Commission has no jurisdiction over a tool shed on a State Highway- Commissioner Tiffany seconded, Carried unanimously. 2- V-99 - George Old ham V~99 The Secretary read the application for Architectural and G.Oldham Site Control Permit for additional medical building at 14369 Saratoga Ave. He stated further that a tentative ;. map for this property'has been filed but that the condi- tions had not yet been received from the County. Chairman Bennett ordered the matter continued until the next regular meeting when both the Buildtug Site Approval and Architectural and Site Control Permit can be acted upon. IV PETITIONS AND GRIEVANCES A. Writtea communications None B- Oral Communications 1. The City Administrator stated that the City Council will Meetings be meeting In Fruitvale School starting tn September. at Fruit- '- vale School Commissioner Andersom'~oved that future meetings of the Planning Commission, starting August 25, 1958, be held at Fruitvale School, Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga. Commissioner ~iffany seconded. 'Carried unanimously. 2- The Secretary stated that there would he a study session on Off-Street Monday, August 18th at Oak Street School on the Off-Street Parking Ord. Parking Ordinance, all property owners and proprietors of ~he C-1 and C-2 districts being so notified. Commissioner Anderson moved for adjournment at 11:00 P.M.. Commissioner Pasetta seconded.
