MII~TES Com~:issioner A~nderson moved that the minutes of the regular meetin9 held on October 13, 1958 and the special meetin9 held on October 20, 1958 be approved as distributed. Commissioner Crisp seconded. Carried unanimously. Ii PUBLIC HEARINGS A-USE PE~ITS None B.VARIANCES 1. V-lOS James J. Hannah V-lOS The Secretary read the request for a variance from the required J.j.Hannah front setback of 3q~ to gO~ on lot 1y, Tract Idr. Hannah explained that the steep grade of the lot was the reason for the request. Commissioner Crisp moved for approval of the variance. Com~fissioner Anderson seconded. Carried unanimously. II! OLD BUSINESS A. ProStess Report on V-iOI~.- Santa Clara Sand and Gravel Co. V-iO~. S.C. Commissioner Tiffany stated that the committee appointed at the Sand and last special meetin9 had made an actual survey of the quarry and Gravel Co. asked the City Attorney for a written statement by which the Planning Commission can be 9uided in making its decision. The committee will have their recommendations ready at the next reDular meetinS. -!- B. A1-A2 Reappraisal A1-A2 Commissioner PasetLa reported that the subdivision committee had Reappraisal met on October 21st with the Planning Consultant and the City Attorney and had made some revisions in the proposed Ordinance No. 3 PA-1. Commissioner Crisp moved that the Secretary be directed to set a date for public hearing- ComMissioner Anderson seconded. Carried unanimously. IV COI,~]ITTEE REPORTS A- Architectural and Site Control None B. Subdivision Committee 1. SDR-8~ - C. F. Bell SDR-8~. Commfissioner Pasetta moved that the tentative map be approved C.F.Bell subject to the followin9 conditions: 1) Record of survey not required - lot indicated on record map of tract 1206 Sunshine Acres. 2) Provide $!50.00 per lot Flood Control fee. 3) Buildin9 setback ~ minimum from centerline of Fruitvale. Commissioner Hi99ins seconded. Carried unanimously. 2. SDR-85 - H. Crawford SDR-85 M~. Crawford stated that he was attemptin9 to buy a small H.Crawford triangle of adjoining property so that a better access off of Monte Vista Drive can be provided. Commissioner Pasetta moved that the tentative map be approved subject to the f611owing conditions: 1) Record of survey indicating 20~ appendage for access as a part of the lot and frontin9 on Monte Vista Drive. 2) Revise driveway of existing house or secure access ease- ments from over the aforementioned 20~ strip. 3)Provide $150.00 per lot Flood Control fee. ~)Improve access road to 18' minimum width. Commissioner Higgins seconded. Carried unanimously. -2- 3. 5DR-80 - Dr- W. F. Reynolds SDR-80 C6m~issio~er Pasetta moved for approval of the tentative map Dr. W. F. Reynolds subject to the following conditions: 1) Record survey- 2) Flood Control fee - $!50.00- Commissioner Higgins seconded. Carried unanimously. 4. SD-86 - George Day 5D-86 Trio Secretary read a letter dated October 27, 1958, from G.Day George Day asking for a continuanc~ of thirty days on SD-86. After a'brief discussion as to zoning in the area, Comers- signer Higgins moved that the tentative map be returned to George Day and be taken off the calendar. Commissioner Tiffany seconded. Carried unanimously. V PETITIONS & GRIEVANCES A. Written 1. The Secretary read a letter dated October 27, 1958 from the Resig- nation of City Administrator submitting his resignation as Secretary F.C.Bachman & appoint- of the Planning Commission and suggesting tha~ Mrs.M~rgaret merit Mrs. M.Regan Regan be considered for the position. as Sec. Planning Commissioner Crisp moved for acceptance of the resignation of CoF.mission Franklin C. Bachman and approval of the appointment of Mrs. Margaret Regan to the position of Secretary of the Planning Commission. Commissioner Higgins seconded. Carried unani- mously. B. Oral 1. Land Use and Circulation Policy Land Use The Secretary stated that Commissioner Anderson and Councilman Policy Glennon had been appointed as the committee to receive the suggestions from the Planning Commissioners and the Councilmen on the Land Use and Circulation Policy. 2. Planning References Planning References The Secretary stated that the City Offices have available an available index as to the references available to the Planning Commissioners -3- on planning through the local library. Commissioner Crisp moved for adjournment at 8:08 P.M. Commissioner Anderson seconded.
