CommisSioner Htggins moved fo~ approval of the minutes as distributed, Commissioner Pasetta seconded- Carried unanimously, II PUBLIC HEARINGS Ai' USE'PERMITS .. 1, Vrll9 - Fred Durr (continued) v-119 commissioner ~asetta reported that-the Subdivision Committee F, Durr had studied the matter as directed at the last Planning Cbm- mission meeting, Commissioner Hlggins moved ,for granting the. Use Permit sub3ect to the following conditions: 1) Permit Granted for one ('1} ~ear'- valid until 1/13/60. Work, service and storage"activittes to be confined to structure presently in use. 3) Remove o~e of the.present unsightly signs. If portable sign is removed name ~nd other data now painted or to be painted on building shall be made more sightly as approved by the Planning CoF~ission. 4)No gasoline or other automotive fuel pump or service ahall be installed on the premises. 5) If any'substitute sign is put up it must be approved by the Planning Commisst6n as to design. Christian Science The Secretary read a letter from the Christian Science Society Inc, -1- Society, Inc.'dated January 6; 1959, requesting postpone- ment of the public hearing. Commissioner Pasetta moved that the public hearing be con- c' tinued to the firstr.!meetipg in February. Commissioner Higgins seconded. Carried unanimously.' 3- V-123 - Pyramid Homes, Inc. V-123 The Secretary read the application for a Use Permit for an Pyramid Homes, existing subdivision dtrectional sign on Highway #9 opposite Inc. Seagull Way- Mr. Giannetti, speaking for the applicant, stated that they wished to keep the sign up until March 3rd. Commissioner Pasetta moved for denial of the Use Permit. CoF~tssioner Crisp seconded. Carried unanimously. B.. VARIANCES None' ; C. CHANGE OF,ZONING 1. CilT'- W. Seagraves - 7:50 P.M. ' C-17 The Secretary read the application for change of zoning from W.Seagraves RI:B2 and Ri:B3 to Ri:B2X for a ten and one half (10½) acre parcel on A16ha Avenue. Mr- Day, the prospective'subatvider of the 'property and Mr. Bruba~er, Aloha Avenue, spoke in favor of the rezoning. The public hearing was closed at 7:58 P-M. Commissidner Pasetta moved.to recommend the rezonin9 as applied for to the City Council, Commissioner Higgins seconded, Carried unanimously III OLD BUSINESS SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE Sub, Commtsaloner Pasetta stated tha-t a.~epor~ on the proposed ordi- Drd. nance would be.ready for the next meeting. B. ORDINANCE 3-A-8 - Non-conforming sites Drd~ , %-A-5 dorm~isstoner Pasetta read the necommendation of the Subdivision -2- Committee on this matter. The Assistant City Attorney stated that the proposed changes were legal. Commissioner Htggins moved that the Secretary be directed to set the date for public hearing. Commissioner Tiffany seconded. Carried unanimously. C. V-116 - Ralph Van Arsdale 'V-116 The Secretary explained that Mr. Van Arsdale wished to make R.Van Arsdale changes In the plans originally approved by the Planning Commis- sion on December 8, 1958. Commissioner Higgins moved for approval of the changes subject to revision of the drawing so that the gutter will be changed in such a manner that there wt.ll be no drip of rainfall onto the public thoroughfare. ' I.I The Secretary read the' con'ditio'ns set down by the County at Ktrkorian their meeting on December 12, 1958 and a lette~ from the County Engineer's dated January 2, 1959, cl'arifying condi- tion ~3- Mr. Kirkorian asked about the alignment of the future street Commissioner Webster moved approval of the tentative map subject to the following conditions: 1) Flood Control fee of $150.00 per new lot, 2) Record of survey 3- Future street line to be as indicated in black pencil on map marked Exhibit "A". Commissioner Tiffany seconded. Carried unanimously. -3- 2. SD-99 - F- Galli SD-99 Tie Secretary read a lettAr dated january 8, 1959 from Mr. F.' Galli Frank C. Oalli grantin9 a'30 day extension of the meetin9 date. Commissioner Webster moved to continue the matter for 30 days'. Commis'sioner Higgins secon'ded. Carried unanimously. 3. SDR-100 - R- E- Weaver SDR-IO0 T~e Secretary read the conditions set by the County at their R.E. Weaver meetin9 of December 30, 1958- Mr. Weaver stated that the'road would always be a private road'and that the City would not be asked to accept it. Commissioner Webster moved approval of the tentative map subject to th~ followin9 conditions: 1) Record of survey. 2i Flood'Control fee of $150.00 per lot. 3) Intercept surface Water in swal~ at upstream end of 20' drainage easement. 4) Carry underground conduit to creek. 5) Cdl de sac radius 42' at property line. 6) ImproveSobey Rd. as required by County Engineer 7) Private road shown fo be improved to 18' width and cul de sac be improved ta'a'radius of 20' surface with Class B double seals;' 8) Lots 3 and ~ to be considered as corridor access lots. Seconded by Commissioner Hi99ins. Carried unanimously. ~. SDR-101 - Isabel Caulfield SDR-iOI The Secretary read the conditions as set by the County at Isabel Caulfteld their meeting of january 8, 1959. Mr.'Robertson, owner of adj6ining property, questioned the road improvement condition. Commissioner Hi99ins moved for approval of the tentative map subject to the followin9 oonditions: 1) Record of survey '2) Flood control fee of $1~0.00 per lot 3) Improve Peach Hill. Lane to 18' wide to minimum County specifications and extend to Piedmont Road. Commissioner Tiffany seconded.
