M. A, ROLL CALL Present: Cor~ssieners Anderson, Cowleye Crisps Glenn, Johnson and ~/ebster. Absent: None, B. MINUTES There was a notion by Co~nuissioner Gleun, seconded by Cornissioner Johnson, that the readin~ of the ainutee of the usetin8 of April 9, 1962, be waived and that the ninutes be approved subject to the following correction: Page 5 ...... last line ...... Add *%hich is a part of this subdivision" after '~iiljevich Drive". 1I. PUBLIC HEARINGS The Chairnan declared Public Hearings open for the evening at 7:10 P. M. A. C-43 - Dr. Isaac N. Abrane, Saratoga Avenue - Change of Zonin~ frou "A" to ~-A" - Continued from March 26s 1962 The Secretary advised that a Notice of Public Hearing had been published and that Notices of Public Hearing had been nailed in connection with the artended application. Two (2) letters protesting this Change o~ Zoning, oue iron frauk Drudin5 and the other iron Willian P. Kirkham, were read by the Secretary. Dr. Abrans reviewed the plans for the proposed Medical and Professional Center, stated the need for such a Center in Saratoga, end answered ques- tions frora both the Couniesiou and the audience with regard to various details of the plans. FRANK DRUDINGs 12775 Saratoga Creek Drive, withdrew his objections to the proposed Chau~e of Zoning after discussin~ this application further with the Connission. He also subrmttted a letter withdrawing the objections of Willi~n P. Kitkhan. MRS. DAVID REITER, 14743 SaratoGa Creek Drive, expressed concern with re- gard to the increased traffic and the total number of doctors in the areas but stated that she thought the developsent would be attractive and uore desirable than other suggestions uade with regard to this property. ALLAN FREID, 14453 Big Basin Way, requested cla=ification as to ~hether Optonetrists would be allowed in the Medical Center. The Comission ad- vised that they would be if they wore classified as physicians. There was a motion by CoLassioner Crisp, seconded by Couuissioner Glenn,. that subject to the reedin8 of the report of the Subdivision Co=nittee and the closin8 of the Public Hearin8, if no one else desired to speak, the Plannina Co22ission defer its recouaendation to the City Council with reSard to this matter until action was taken by the Conmission on the ten- tative naps coverin~ the Subdivision (Parcel 2) and the Buildin8 Site Ap- proval (Parcel I)~ motion carried unantnously. CoEnissioner Anderson read the report from the Subdivision Comittee per- reininS to this application. Chairnan l~ebster declared the Public HearSe8 closed on C-43 at 8:35 P. and stated that they would return to this uatter after action had been taken on SDR-346 and SD-347. RECESS FRON 8:35 P. M. UI.~_IL 8:~5 P, M. Bo General Plan - Revision The Public Hearing in connection with revision of the General Plan was opened at 8:48 Po M. Couaissioncr C=i~ rend the report a=i recouaendatione of the Cet~t-el Plan Cor~tttee. After discussion, it was decided that the Commission would consider each of the recornendations individually. (4-a) Motion by Couuissioner Cleat, seconded by Ceauissioner Johnson, that the recoEnendation in 4-a of the General Plan Co~rdttee port (dated April 18, 1962) be approved; vation carried unanimously. (4-b) Motion by CoEnissioner Glenn, seconded by Counissioner Johnson, that the Comission adopt the last four (4) lines of 4-b, ~ahich recoznends a study. Re11 call vote: Ayes: Counissioners Anderson, Cowley, Glens, Johnson nna Webster. Noes: Commissioner Crisp. Absent: None. Motion carried. (4-c) Notion by Comissioner Johnson, seconded by Cor~issioner Glenn, that Section 4-c of the General Plan Counittee Report be approved; motion carried unan/unously. (4-d) Motion by Cor~dssioner Cowley, seconded by Co~aissioner Johnson, that 4-d of the General Plan Cor~aittee Report (dated April 18, 1962) be epproved; notion carried unanimansly. There was a notion by Conn~ssioner Anderson, seconded by Coun~s- s~oner Johnsons that recomendation 4-8 of the General Plan Cou- nittee Report be approved; raotion carried unaninously, B. T. GALEB, 20437 SeaBull Way~ raised a question fn connection w~th the property alon~ the railroad track (P. G. and E. rf~ht-of-~xay). He stated that at one thus the County Planners had suZSested that this property be zoned for selected Professional and Counercial Use. He further stated that he had no particular su85estfon, but felt that anythin8 that would landscape this area nicely would be desirable. It was su~Sested that, althouSh P. G, and Eo o~ns soue of the property and only has an easeneat over other ~arts of ~t, perhaps the Park and Recreation Connittee could work out sons plan for the area.
