Mr. Thurner answered the 'only 0utstan~ing gain would be the addition of 92 families to the Saratoga' community. '." · Mr. Shelley williams, Saratoga'Realtor as well as Saratoga property .'ox~er and .a resident of Westbrook, stated~ that 1) he =purchased his' home prior to the incorporation 0f the City of Saratoga at about 'the same t~e as the neighboring areas in Saratoga· were being developed·· '2) the residents of Westbrook ·have maintained their proper~y beauti- 'fully, fought co~nercial zoning proposed by San Jose, .fo~nned a West-· brook Teen Club participated in·the Prospect Road Beautification Project, provided leadership in many church and school groups~' thereby integrating their beliefs with. those of their Saratoga neighbors 3) 'the Prospect· line does· seem like a 'straight and logical boundary· · line for Saratoga but the.people 'in Westbrook hope this line can be moved since the United ·States did.move ·their boundaries to' a~ex ·Alaska and Hawaii 4) there' will be no cost i'nvolved in annexing Westbrook and if it is annexed, it will ~ring about $~,000 a year into the City and. the residents of this area· believe in paying their own way. Chai~n Norton stated he did not think it. would be a 'questiOn of cost,: but rather if this annexation would be good for the city.·.
