ITEMS OF DISCUSSION ·
1. SD-89-012 - CHATEAU MASSON ESTATES, PIERCE ROAD
The Planning Director explained that the purpose of the study
session was to seek public input regarding the Initial Envi-
ronmental Study prepared by'the Planning Department for the
proposed 10 lot subdivision on the 75 acre portion of the
mountain winery. He stated that the City's preliminary
review concludes that an EIR will be prepared to answer
potential environmental impacts. He also reviewed the proce-
dures that will be employed to review the project after the
EIR is prepared.
Maurey Abraham, representing the applicant presented the
plans and answered questions from the Planning Commission.
The soils engineer also representing the applicant answered
the Commission's questions regarding the location and depth
of existing landslides.
Marie Gaspar asked how the City will solve the problem of the
concerts. She referenced the traffic and noise experienced
during the concern season. She also asked how much traffic
will be added and what willihappen to concert traffic during
construction.
Ann Marie Burger asked about the traffic problem and the
City's ability to control development in the County.
Teri Krevanko asked about C~labazas Creek and the project's
impact on her property.
Jan Harris asked about how the City can assess the Master
Planning of the site if it' is outside of Saratoga. The
Planning Director responded that the Initial Study addresses
this and will be discussed in the EIR.
Commissioner Burger asked about the driveway access to Lot
#2.
A resident also asked if improvements to Pierce Road will be
considered. Will Pierce be widened? She felt that it is
necessary. :
Residents stated that timing of the concerts and traffic
