Call to Order The nesting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Commissioners present: Brenner, Krezek, Martini, Towse, Watkins Commissioners absent: Peacock, Newby Report on Posting of Conission Agenda Pursuant to GovernBent Code 54954.2, the agenda for this meeting was ilproperly posted on May 22, 1992. IV. The m bf 1992, meeting were approved the April 22, as submitted. New Businesa A. Presentation onLibrarv Technol_ogy_ C0mmunity Librarian Dolly Barnes gave a presentation on the automated Library Catalog. Barnes distributed infor~ation on the system and showed the Commissioners how to use the terminals to access the system. vii. LibFary Expansion Committee CommissioneF Bill Watkins gave an update on the progress of the Library Expansion Conmittee. Commissioner Rich Brenner requested that City Staff Representative Karen Campbell send all the Library Commissioners copies of the revised RFP. May Council Meetinas Conissioner Sally Towse gave a report on the May Council meetings. Janice Yes. Deputy Count? Librarian Deputy County Librarian Janice Yes distributed inforBation on the Saratoga 1991-92 budget and information on the 1992-93 community library salary and aaterials distribution. Questions arose regarding the distribution amounts to the different libraries. Yee indicated that this information would be covered in County Librarian Susan Fuller's presentation scheduled for the June 24 meeting. Dolly Barnes. City Staff Reoresentative No Report Barbara Peacock. Chair Vice-Chair Sally Towse was acting Chair for this meeting. There was no report. ~g~nunications from City Council None VIII. Oral and Written Comunications Hal-f-Ann #aiiace, Cupertino Coamunity Librarian, spoke to the Commiss~on about the Americans with Disabilities Act and its impact on the Santa Clara County Library system. She indicated that she was the County coordinator for ADA compliance and requested that the Saratoga Community Library and the Library Commission hold a public hearing to gather input regardingADA compliance.
